Oklahoma City---In
a field loaded with talent, Fraley’s Wildcats of Lexington, Ken.,
emerged as the champion of the ASA Women’s Class C East Slow Pitch
National Championship in Dothan, Ala., with a perfect 6-0 record. The
win secures the Wildcats a spot in the 2007 Hooters Championship Series
that will be played at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City.
Their opponent in Oklahoma City will be WTS Softball Crew who also
posted a perfect 5-0 record in their respective national championship in

Fraley’s opened
their championship run by blitzing the 747 Starz, 16-3, on Saturday. In
their second round match-up, the Wildcats doubled up the Lady
Heartbreakers of Union Springs, Ala., 8-4, to advance into the winner’s
bracket quarter-finals where they faced the Lady Blazers.

quarter-finals both teams struggled to put up runs but in the end it was
Fraley’s who managed to secure a 6-5 victory and a spot in the winner’s
bracket semi-finals to face the Yard Dawgs of Calhoun, Ga.
The Yard Dawgs, who
had averaged double-digit runs in their first two games, were shut down
by the Wildcats defense and sent to the loser’s bracket with a 3-1 loss
while the Wildcats advanced into the winner’s bracket final.

Traders of
Colliersville, Tenn., who lost their opening double elimination game by
one run, managed to battle their way out of the loser’s bracket and into
the championship game. After losing their opening game, Traders won
